About Me
I’m so excited you are HERE! Here at A Foodie’s Harmony, find recipes, tips and advice – all in all, it’s about finding wellness and balance in your every day busy life (especially if you’re a foodie like me!). Everything in moderation, I say!
I’m Rina, the home baker and amaetur cook behind A Foodies Harmony! I grew up in a Japanese household where my parents ran a small business Japanese grocery store. My parents were excellent cooks (my mom learned everything from her mother, and my dad was a chef). So, naturally, I ate really well. The fact we had a grocery store changed my perception on what and how we consume food.
Since my parents were in the food business, I learned to never waste food. I learned how to be resourceful and have the mindset that you can almost always make anything at home. Growing up I was fortunate that my parents knew how to cook, so we seldomly ate out. I have always had a passion for food and I think about it all of the time. While my hobby to write recipes started out with only sweets and baked goods, I’ve learned to be patient with writing recipes that are non-sweets. Everyone’s tastes are different you know?
Here at A Foodies Harmony, I post a handful of recipes a month – it’s usually based on seasonality foods or what I’m feeling like making. The meaning of my blog is showcase that as a foodie, I love to eat everything, but I also like to keep a balance. That means while I love to bake and eat brownies, I also love to bake gluten free, make things with honey, eat kale and workout. Life is a balance and I love finding the harmony in our every day with food!
Thank you so much for visiting and I hope you find a recipe or a post that resonates with you! Please reach out if you have questions or comments.
Much Love,
Rina
